DIY Potpourri Bowl

Happy Saturday Divas! Boy am I glad the weekend is here. For some reason, it feels like the shorter work weeks last forever! Oh well, enough of that.  It’s Simplistic Saturday and I have a super easy way to use potpourri.  I know you’re probably thinking that potpourri is a thing of the past, but I assure you it’s not. Stores such as Bed, Bath, and Beyond and Yankee Candle sell it and frequently release new scents.  Besides, not only is it a great way to make your home smell good, but if done properly, it will be a great accent to your decor.  So let’s get started!

What I used:

A bowl, black matte spray paint and extra fine gold glitter.

This was a very easy project, as all I did was spray paint the bowl and sprinkle on the glitter while the paint was still wet.

Once the paint dried, I flipped the bowl over and sprayed the inside.

Then of course, once all of the paint dried, I brought the bowl in and filled it with potpourri.

I used Yankee Candle’s Pineapple Cilantro scented potpourri, however, it is no longer available.  If you’re not a fan of potpourri, I hope I’ve inspired you to give it a shot. However, if you are a fan, comment below and tell me your favs and where you like to purchase it.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and STAY GLAM!
