The Colors of Sweet ’16

Happy, happy Hump Day Divas!  It’s the middle of the week and time to talk about this year’s color or colors of the year. Last year’s color of the year according to Pantone was Marsala. We had a blast with that color last year, from the announcement of the color to introducing how it played out in Fall decor.  So it’s only right for me to advise on the trending color(s) for 2016.

According to Pantone, for the first time, the blending of two shades – Rose Quartz and Serenity were chosen as the Pantone Color of the Year.

Rose Quartz is a blush colored tone that can be used to provide a chic sense of relief.  Aside from the obvious color Serenity, this color pairs well with rich blue hues, jewel tones and metallics. Below are examples of this color in use.

Serenity-Just like it’s name, Serenity provides a sense of peace. Serenity pairs well with soft yellows, neutrals, and jewel tones.  Below are several examples of Serenity in use.

I guess the best word to describe this year’s colors of the year is tranquility.  Both colors are very cool and calming and gives you a sense of peace. I can’t wait to see the products that are offered this year.

What do you think of the colors? Leave a comment below. Don’t forget to check out posts from our GLAMfit and GLAMfash Divas before you go!

As always…until next time, STAY GLAM!
